COVID Safety & disability Accessibility
Every individual should be able to participate in protests and rallies. This includes making our rally safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and accessible to folks with disabilities. Here are our policies to make this vision a reality.
COVID Protocols
Our first priority is ensuring all attendees are safe, especially during the pandemic. We are committed to following city and state guidelines for outdoor gatherings. The rally will:
-
ensure attendees are completely masked
-
recommend and encourage social distancing
-
provide hand sanitizer
-
clean all surfaces regularly
Disability Accessibility
We understand we cannot make the event accessible to all people but will try our best to do so. We will:
-
support people using wheelchairs, walkers, and canes get to accessible seating. Attendees sitting here will be able to see the ASL interpreter, speakers, and performer.
-
provide seating
-
have an ASL interpreter
-
not use a megaphone
-
caption all livestreams
-
have a volunteer to support those with trauma
-
and work with folks to accommodate their needs
