Elle
Halo

Elle Halo, is a Black woman of trans experience, and a dedicated LGBTQ Health Equity Advocate and Educator. She is currently the Planned Parenthood of WI Inclusion Health Program Specialist. She is the first trans woman Co-Chair Elect of the STATEWIDE ACTION PLANNING GROUP FOR HIV AND AIDS OF WISCONSIN, an Inaugural Black AIDS Institute Ambassadorship of Biomedical Prevention, and a member of the Diverse and Resilient Board of Directors. Halo has experience as a public speaker and subject matter expert in areas of LGBTQIA health/ transgender health, safety and social disparities. She is a recipient of the 2019 Black Trans Advocacy Coalition Rising Star Award for Volunteerism, the 2019 Milwaukee Pridefest Individual of the Year, and a Transfaith Bobbie Jean Baker & Gender Reveal Podcast Grantee. Halo is a writer, poet, and singer. Her mother is a minister, Evangelist Veronica Sears, and Elle’s community work honors her mother’s example of unconventional community leadership.

SunShine
Raynebow

She / Her, They / Them, Queen / Goddess

SunShine is a poet, artist, activist, and drag queen who wants to change the world through spreading love and kindness. She started activism when they were a junior in high school because of systemic inequities that harmed her as a queer person of color. SunShine continues to fight to make the world a better place and her goal in life is to be herself: a Black, queer, trans woman. They hope their advocacy will allow youth to exist in a more welcoming and supportive society.

Osha
Towers

They / Them / Theirs

Osha is Black, queer, nonbinary, and filled with joy. As a young leader, Osha operates with a model of collectivism. They aim to see oppressive systems abolished by promoting generations of valuable community efforts. Their years have been dedicated towards advocating for survivors of sexual aggression, expanding youth leadership, and distributing funds. They love to travel and build knowledge through the stories from those around them. Working in advocacy, sexual liberation, education, healing, abortion support, and expanding access to care has been among their many passions. As the Director of Community Organizing at Diverse and Resilient, they work to envision a future for Black, Indigenous, and POC Queer and Trans people filled with joy and the ability to exist fully.
